Privacy notice

This page explains what personal data the website www.laconocchia.com collects, why, for how long it is kept and what rights you have. It is the notice required by Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). The Italian version, informativa sulla privacy, is the official one; this is a courtesy translation.

Who processes your data

The data controller is the association «La Conocchia», Via Cercole 21, 84017 Positano (SA), Italy, tax code 95177400652, email aps@laconocchia.com. The association has not appointed a Data Protection Officer: it does not fall within the cases in which Article 37 GDPR makes one mandatory.

What we collect and why

  • The membership form: first name, surname and email address, used only to answer you and to send you the membership application. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Giving the data is optional, but without it we cannot reply.
  • The membership application: the data in the signed form is used to decide on your admission and to keep the register of members, as the by-laws and Italian law require (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
  • Emails you send us: kept for as long as it takes to answer and to deal with the request, on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Technical log data: the server records the IP address, the page requested, the date and time and the browser, to keep the site running and to protect it from attacks (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use it to identify visitors and we draw no traffic statistics from it.

How long we keep it

Messages: as long as it takes to answer, and in any case no more than two years. Members’ data: for the whole membership and afterwards for as long as Italian civil and tax law requires, normally ten years. Server logs: a few days, according to the hosting provider’s settings.

Who can see it

Only the members of the board who are authorised to. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data and we do not use it for advertising. The site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A. as a processor under Article 28 GDPR, on servers located in Italy. No personal data is transferred outside the European Union.

Cookies

The site uses technical cookies only and does no profiling. In fact, if you simply read the pages, no cookie is set at all: there is no analytics, no advertising and no embedded social content, and the fonts and images are served from our own server. That is why you are not asked to accept cookies. The full details are in the Italian cookie policy.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a machine-readable format (Articles 15 to 22 GDPR). Write to aps@laconocchia.com and we will answer within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, garante@gpdp.it), or to go to court.

No automated decisions

We take no decisions about you by automated means and we do not profile you (Article 22 GDPR).
